You’re my one and only robot.

An addendum to the AI post AND the conversation about sex and desire.  People have long centred the critical drama of their lives around the latter. Well, no more.  Sex without the drama is just around the corner.

Seems to be kinda of a popular concept with all kinds of folks.

And, as the previous article and the following show, all kinds of people are prepared to explain it.

Of course, it’s always about us, isn’t it.  Well, if the robots have their way, which as we’ve been told is just round the corner, it’ll be about them too……

I have a headache. G’nite.

Chan: I have a question: would having sex w/ a Russian/Chinese/Irani built robot be seen as treasonous?
How about Skype sex w/ a bot in let’s say NKorea?

talking of Bots: Fred said in a post earlier: he has taken note of Maram Sousli (aka “partisan girl”) along with MaxBlumenthal.
Yesterday Gu. published an article identifying her as a”bot” (that’s how low & Un-credible MSM has gotten):

Whatever your proclivities is between you and your bot.

If I understand what’s presented as the robot future, doesn’t matter where the thing is made. There are only two countries: bots and humans and capital is the lubricant.

  3. Yeah, the robot rights thing is a stretch for me. It does echo though with William Gibson’s “meat puppets” in—I can’t remember which—cyberpunk novel: flesh-and-blood sex surrogates hired to perform over the net, sort of sex tourism without the airfare.

The AI corollary of this is interesting though. The big fear of course is “the singularity” when AIs become self-determining. Ray Kurzweil saw this as a tipping point kind of event—Terminator stuff. I can’t help but think that it could be much more insidious though. Social constructs when they become reified by regulation have the capacity to operate in a similar fashion. And forget about social constructs, consider political ones, like the business of gender fluid pornouns (sic) [meant to type pronouns] that Jordan Peterson has himself all caught up in.

Trying to tie Robot rights to this… may have to get back to you on this.
